WIS2H has been extremely fortunate to attract wonderful scientists, creative people, and enthusiastic volunteers.  As such, we have no shortage of ideas to reduce human suffering.  However, as for most not-for-profit Institutes, we must choose amongst those alternatives.  We encourage your support, and will honor any request to apply that support to specific program.

What will the contribution do?

General funds - any amount - Operation of the Institute

      Supplies to help assess & reduce food losses (such as scales, crates, educational materials)

$10 - $1000 - Search for post harvest research, programs, institutes and individual crop loss opportunities

$10,000 - $30,000  - Organize in-country studies in conjunction with leaders (mostly women leaders)

                                - Inventory post harvest efforts of post harvest institutes in at least one country

                                - Identify opportunities for increased food recovery through shared technologies

$ 50,000 - 80,000 - Organize an international conference to present successes and promote exchange of information

           between countries

$100,000 to $ million range - Employ economies of scale and shared technology to recover food sufficient to feed people

           at an investment level of $1 - $10 per person per year.
