Comprehensive Food Security Plan 

– Identify appropriate technologies to reduce losses and extend useable life 

– Identify which technologies could and should be used elsewhere 

– Exchange existing post harvest technologies between countries with support of
volunteer experts 

– Adapt post harvest technologies to address different commodities and/or environments

– Develop new post harvest technologies for persistent specific food losses 

Human-powered mill and Solar Refrigerator

– Promote economic development by using recovered food as inputs for new cottage
industries

 

– Reduce food lost by regulations not based on safety 

– Reduce food waste in developed countries. 


These approaches have the potential to recover millions of tons of food to feed
millions of people for under $12/person/year
